The Innowalk is a new, unique and motorized aid for children with movement disorder.
The dynamic movement trainer supports the leg movement of children with movement disorder.
The electromechanically supported motion can be performed while standing or sitting. The Innowalk is adjusted individually to the child.
The Innowalk is connected via USB to the computer and the parameters of the movement can be set with a special software. The parameters maximum torque, maximum speed and acceleration can be adjusted that way. The different parameters can be saved and loaded any time again. Furthermore speed and torque can be shown graphically in a real-time.
The movement trainer recognizes spasms in the lower extremities of the user, and automatically adjusts the motion to this change.
In Norway a case study with 5 children with CP / motion disorder using the Innowalk was completed. Every child used the movement trainer for a longer period.
